Hawthorne House is a small family run guesthouse located in the picturesque former Royal Burgh of South Queensferry just fifteen minutes from Edinburgh Airport. We can be found just above the cobbled High Street in the heart of Queensferry's beautiful conservation area.

Close by, both Dundas Castle & Hopetoun House offer ideal locations for weddings, business conferences and golf.

Built in 1850, our traditional exterior is complimented by a clean contemporary Scottish decor.

Take time to relax and enjoy dinner overlooking the sea in the award winning Orocco Pier situated just across the road from us. A short walk away is the world famous Forth Railway Bridge. Constructed in the late 19th century, this engineering feat is truly one of the industrial revolution's starring achievements.

There is an excellent choice of shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance of our Guesthouse.

If you fancy something a bit more energetic, Edinburgh is just 20 minutes away by train and offers something for everyone.
