Hawthorne
House is a small family run guesthouse to be found in the picturesque former
Royal Burgh of South Queensferry on West Terrace, which is situated, in our
cobbled High Street in the heart of the conservation area
the two
famous bridges. The Rail bridge known as the 'Brig' to locals was considered to
be a masterpiece of engineering in that period. The road bridge a newer
companion for the rail bridge was built in 1964 and was the first suspension
bridge to be built in Scotland on that scale.
